Spring Break.....Day2

Day 2 in Salt Lake was spent tubing. We drove up to Solider Hollow where the Olympic cross country skiing was and decided to try our luck again at the sport of downhill tubing. I recall last time we went was in Denver and I don't think my arms ever recovered from being yanked on when the tow rope stopped. This was much more enjoyable. They just hook you on and you are on your way. It was an absolutely beautiful day. We practically had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed the music, the sun and wind on our faces and a delicious picnic lunch. Then we headed into town for the Grizzly hockey game. I only managed to get a couple pictures of the hockey game. I am not sure why maybe the $2 beers had something to do with it;)

Mom recovering on the way up after an adventuresome ride down with her daughter.

Grandma Diane was screaming bloody murder the whole way down. Somehow she always ended up going down backwards. Not sure how I captured this photo as I was laughing hysterically.

Grandma Diane and I were in the lane next to these guys going down. I think they might have beat us by a hair.

A few from the top. Grandpa Dave and Dawson heading down together.

Dayton decided he needs to eat a few more vegetables because he didn't quite get the speed going down the hill that Grandpa Dave did.

Spring Break......

This year for Spring Break I took the boys down to Salt Lake to visit the old folks. We had a week full of fun and nonstop action. I know the boys had a lot of fun. First thing on the agenda was meeting Grandpa Dave at Red Robin for lunch and a little bowling after. Grandma Diane put on a good showing, but I still managed to beat her 2 out of 3. Better luck next time Granny!

Dayton's birthday weekend

Well it is hard to believe our baby is 7 years old now. We had a fun weekend celebrating over the 1st of March. He had a magic party with some of his friends on Saturday. He and his brother also got to skate at intermission of the Bulls game that night and get autographs in their locker room when the game was over. On Sunday we celebrated over at Buffalo Wild Wings with some of his grandparents. I think he had a fun time and he told me that he thinks he is growing because the toilet is getting shorter!

Yummy, yummy!!!

Final, Final?............

The boys played in a mite hockey tournament this past weekend in Helena. A fun time was had by all. We spent a fun day at the rink on Saturday watching the boys each play three games. We also enjoyed dining at Chili's with the O'Donnells despite taking the long way to get there. It was probably best that it took us awhile anyway because we missed out on being evacuated from the pool as a result of a reversal of fortune from some unknown child. Great company and memories always!

They were both so tired when they got home that Dayton did not even care that Dawson was sleeping with his stinky feet in his face. When he saw the picture he was not very happy with Dawson! There is nothing sweeter than brotherly love.

Getting ready to receive his trophy! He was so proud of it he took it to school to share, and then forgot why he had it in his backpack.

Dayton insisted on carrying his bag all the way to the car. Maybe big brother should take a lesson from little brother.

Daddy and Dayton getting ready to watch big brother.

Clown boy hamming it up in the locker room.

Dawson getting ready for the start of their final game.

This is Dayton's team. (He is in the blue helmet) They finished third in their division behind some stellar play by the Secret Weapon, as Dayton is called.

This is Dawson's team. (He was the goalie) They finished second in their division losing to Helena in an extremely close and exciting game that ended in a shootout. Extremely stressful for the parents to watch when your son is the goalie. I would not recommend it.

Glenda turns the BIG 5-0!!!!

This past weekend we were able to celebrate Glenda's 50th birthday at the Windmill. We were so thankful to all her friends and family that came to celebrate with us. Also a big thank you to all those who planned such a wonderful evening for her. I think everyone had a FABULOUS time. I would like to personally thank who ever sent us home with all the balloons. My house has now become the balloon factory. The boys especially have a great time popping them and watching all the glitter fall out. I think I will forever be vacuuming glitter out of my carpet. Was that your idea Beth? I also want to shout out a birthday wish to my mom who is only a few years older than Glenda, but who is counting. Love you both.
